Under the EXPFLEX brand, there are various valve models with different actuation methods, including mechanical, electrical, and air-piloted designs.
EXPFLEX Valve Types & Actuation Methods
  • Solenoid (Electric) Valves: These change position or control flow using electrical signals (12V DC, 24V DC, 220V AC). They are connected to automation systems like PLCs or switches for remote control.
  • Mechanical & Manual Valves: These are physically operated by a human using a lever, button, or foot pedal. They are ideal for lines without electrical power or where manual override is required.
  • Air-Piloted Valves: Instead of electricity, these valves use air pressure (pilot air) coming from another line to shift positions.
Common EXPFLEX Models and Functions
Valves are categorized by their number of ports and positions (such as 3/2, 5/2, or 5/3):
  • 3/2-Way Valves (3 Ports, 2 Positions): Typically used to control single-acting pneumatic cylinders (spring-return) or to simply open and close an air line.
  • 5/2-Way Valves (5 Ports, 2 Positions): The standard choice for controlling the forward and backward movement of double-acting pneumatic cylinders.
  • 5/3-Way Valves (5 Ports, 3 Positions - Closed Center): Commonly used in vehicle air suspension systems or to stop and hold a cylinder at any mid-stroke position. The 12V or 24V dual-solenoid versions are highly popular in automotive tuning.

Return & Exchange Conditions
