EXPFLEX mechanically controlled foot pedal valves are foot-operated mechanical valves used in pneumatic systems to directional control compressed air and operate moving components such as pistons and cylinders. These valves operate purely through physical foot movement without requiring electrical power, allowing the operator to keep both hands free for the task.
Main EXPFLEX Pedal Valve Models
EXPFLEX FV-320 (1/4" 3/2 Way): Ideal for controlling single-acting pneumatic cylinders. It directs air in one direction and exhausts the air when the pedal is released.
EXPFLEX FV-420 (1/4" 5/2 Way): The most commonly preferred standard model for directing the forward and backward movement of double-acting pneumatic cylinders.
EXPFLEX 4F210-08 Series (Wide Body / Guarded): Models equipped with a protective sheet metal guard to protect the operator's foot from accidental presses. Preferred in facilities with high safety criteria. Available in locked or spring-return options.
Basic Technical Specifications
Port Size: Main air inlets and outlets are generally G 1/4" thread size. Exhaust ports can be G 1/8" or G 1/4" depending on the model.
Operating Pressure: Generally operates with high performance in the pressure range of 1.5 to 8 bar.
Operating Temperature: Suitable for ambient temperatures between 0C and 60C as standard.
Operating Medium: Used with 40-micron filtered standard industrial compressed air.
