These valves act as "traffic controllers" in a hydraulic circuit, ensuring that operations happen in a specific, pressure-dependent order.
1. What does a Sequence Valve do?
A sequence valve remains closed until a pre-set pressure level is reached in the primary circuit. Once that pressure is hit, the valve opens to allow oil flow to a secondary branch.
  • Example: First, a hydraulic cylinder clamps a workpiece. Once it's tight and pressure builds up, the sequence valve opens to trigger a second cylinder for drilling.
2. Cetop 3 vs. Cetop 5 (Size & Standards)
These terms refer to the mounting interface and physical size:
  • Cetop 3 (NG6): Designed for compact systems. It typically handles flow rates up to 50 l/min. (Duplomatic Series: SZD3)
  • Cetop 5 (NG10): A larger frame size used for higher flow demands, typically up to 80-100 l/min. (Duplomatic Series: SZD5)
  • Modular (Sandwich) Design: These are "stackable" valves. They are mounted directly under a directional control valve without extra piping, saving space and reducing leak points.
3. Flow Rates (50-80 l/min)
  • 50 l/min: This is the upper limit for most Cetop 3 valves. Running at this rate is efficient for small-to-medium machinery.
  • 80 l/min: At this flow rate, you must switch to Cetop 5. Using a Cetop 3 valve for 80 l/min would cause excessive heat, noise, and significant pressure drops.
