It precisely balances the inlet pressure using a pilot air signal and ensures a stable outlet pressure. It is manufactured under the PJX-L series to provide precise control in large lines where standard spring-loaded regulators fall short.
Key Models and Size Options
EXPFLEX pilot-operated regulators offer a wide range of connection sizes depending on the installation scale. For small and medium-sized lines, PJX-L08 (1/4 inch), PJX-L10 (3/8 inch), and PJX-L15 (1/2 inch) models are available. For large industrial lines, PJX-L20 (3/4 inch), PJX-L25 (1 inch), PJX-L40 (1 1/2 inch), PJX-L50 (2 inch), and PJX-L80 (3 inch) models are preferred. These devices generally operate with a maximum inlet pressure of 10 Bar and an outlet pressure adjustment range of around 8 to 9 Bar.
Key Features and Operating Principle
Pressure adjustment is not controlled by mechanically compressing a spring directly, but via a small external pilot air signal applied to the device. Thanks to this pilot control technology, the outlet pressure is always kept constant without being affected by sudden consumption fluctuations in the main line. Its greatest advantage is allowing high flow rates without restricting air flow in large pipe diameters.
