OXIM Plate Type Pilot Operated Check Valves are high-performance hydraulic components designed to allow free flow in one direction and block it in the reverse direction up to a 315 Bar nominal operating pressure. They can also allow reverse flow when triggered by an external hydraulic pilot pressure signal.
Their body design is standardized for surface mounting (subplate mounted) on hydraulic manifolds or plates.
Technical Specifications & Variants
Based on standard hydraulic industrial data for OXIM series (commonly referred to as the SV series) pilot operated check valves, the technical parameters include:
  • Maximum Operating Pressure: 315 Bar
  • Connection Sizes (Nominal Sizes):
    • NG10 (1/2") – e.g., SV 10 PA1-3X
    • NG20 (1") – e.g., SV 20
    • NG30 (1" 1/2) – e.g., SV 30PA1-3X
  • Design Options: Available with internal or external drain lines. The external drain port ensures smooth operation of the pilot piston under high backpressure conditions.
Operating Principle
  1. Free Flow: When fluid flows in the normal direction, it overcomes the spring force, pushes the poppet open, and passes through with low cracking pressure.
  2. Leaktight Locking: When fluid attempts to flow in the reverse direction, the poppet seats firmly. It locks the line tightly, preventing cylinder drift or motor movement even under a maximum load of 315 Bar.
  3. Pilot-Assisted Opening: When reverse flow is required, an external hydraulic pilot pressure is applied to the pilot (X) port. This pressure moves an internal piston, mechanically forcing the poppet open to allow reverse flow.
Applications
  • Load Holding Circuits: Used in presses, cranes, and lifting platforms where hydraulic cylinders must stay fixed under load without drifting due to internal valve leakage.
  • Safety Manifolds: Integrated into high-pressure power packs and block structures to secure system lines.
