Straight Type Brass Body Piston Valve (specifically the EXPFLEX Q22HD series) is a pneumatic (air-actuated) control valve used in industrial plants and automation systems to control the flow of fluids (liquids, air, or gases) quickly, tightly, and safely. This valve is used to fully open or fully close (On-Off) the flow in the pipeline it is connected to. It optimizes flow management by opening and closing within seconds upon receiving a command from the system.

How to Use It? (Operating Principle)
EXPFLEX straight type piston valves are generally N.C. (Normally Closed) type. This means that the flow is shut off when there is no air input to the valve.
  1. Line Installation: The valve is mounted to the pipeline via its threaded connections, paying close attention to the direction arrow (flow direction) marked on it.
  2. Air Connection: A pneumatic hose is connected to the actuator (piston) inlet located at the top of the valve. A solenoid valve is typically used to direct this air.
  3. Opening Process: When compressed air is sent to the top head of the valve via the solenoid valve, the air pressure pushes the internal piston upward, opening the valve and allowing the fluid to pass through.
  4. Closing Process: When the air in the top head is exhausted (air supply cut off), a powerful internal spring pushes the piston back into its original position, immediately cutting off the flow.
